This unique approach means we can break down the financial, commercial and technical barriers that solar projects so often face. Projects are financed under one single platform: the SolarAfrica Platform Technical and development partners can choose from three standardised solar plans, each tailored for country-specific requirements. This allows them to offer hassle-free, low-cost power solutions, whilst maintaining their brand independence. The Platform has been set up to cater for both off-grid and on-grid private sector power consumers, ranging in capacity from 200 kWp to 5MW+. (incl. energy storage projects).

Commercial private sector solar assets deliver yields better than commercial property but with the stability of cash flows that infrastructure projects provide. These are long-term projects that have underlying contracts extending out 8-20 years.
The diversity of our financing plans means we achieve a mix of lower duration projects and longer-term recurring income.
Credit risk is minimized through project diversity and asset re-deployment strategies through consistent use of similar technologies on each project.

All SolarAfrica projects contain a performance-based element, meaning both NVI and our technical partners are aligned with your interests of maximizing system output and ensuring optimal design.

Each financed SolarAfrica plan is delivered together with our technical partners. Together we commit to operate and maintain each installation over the entire agreement.
